AI Automation

A new lead fills out a form, and the automation drafts a personalized reply and logs them in a sheet or CRM.

Why This Automation

Every business collects leads — through a website form, an event page or through a social link. The manual version looks like this: Someone fills out an e-form, you get a notification, you open the submission, copy the details into a spreadsheet, then write a reply by hand. It takes 5-10 minutes per lead and during busy periods, leads wait hours or days for a response.

This automation makes it instant. The e-form is submitted. Claude reads the details, writes a personalized response, the lead gets logged in a Google Sheet and the reply goes out — all happening within seconds.

What It Does

When a potential client submits a contact form, this n8n workflow instantly captures their information, generates a personalized AI-written reply using Claude (Anthropic), logs everything to a Google Sheets CRM tracker, and confirms receipt to the visitor — all without manual intervention.

    (powered by Claude Sonnet) reads the lead's details and writes a personalized, professional follow-up email — referencing their specific message, explaining how you can help, and including a clear next step

The Fix

The Name, Email, Company, and Message columns (A-D) were empty in Row 2 — only the OUTPUT column (E) had data. That's because the auto-mapping matched the AI output field name but not the webhook body fields. After debugging the field mapping between the webhook body and the sheet schema, the automation worked end-to-end. It was a tough session but I pushed through!

Business Problem

Small business owners and consultants lose leads when they cannot respond fast enough. This automation eliminates that gap — every inquiry gets a personalized, context-aware reply within seconds while building a searchable lead database automatically. No leads fall through the cracks, and no manual email drafting is needed.

Result

There it is — Claude's AI-generated reply sitting right in the Google Sheet! The automation worked end-to-end: "Hi Alex, Thank you for reaching out! It's great to hear from you... Marketing automation for a 20-person startup is exactly our sweet spot... Would you be available for a quick 20-minute call this week or next?"

I built: A webhook receives a lead → Claude AI drafts a personalized reply → everything gets logged to Google Sheets → a response is sent back. Fully automated, zero manual steps.

PrivateLLM — Running AI Locally

Not every AI task should go to the cloud. Some data stays home.

For this assignment, I installed and configured Ollama — an open-source tool that lets you run large language models directly on your own machine. No data leaves your computer. No API keys. No cloud dependency.

I deployed a 20.9 billion parameter model (gpt-oss:20b) locally, running on my Windows machine. The model supports completion, tool use, and chain-of-thought reasoning — all running privately at localhost:11434.

This is the future of AI for businesses handling sensitive client data, legal documents, medical records, or proprietary strategies. PrivateLLM means full AI capability with zero data exposure.
